Shatta Wale’s ‘Already’ song with Beyonce turns out to be the only track receiving massive attention from both the local and international media out of all the other songs from the African artists featured on the Lion King: The Gift album, according statistics www.Ghgossip.com obtained from Billboard’s official website.
As at press time, Shatta Wale’s song with Beyonce is in the lead with 5,828 votes which forms over 86% of the votes cast so far. The album which features some well known artistes like Kendrick Lamar, Childish Gambinoand her husband Jay-Z which was released on Friday (July 19), seamlessly blends afrobeats, rap, R&B and pop in what the superstar calls her “love letter to Africa.”
The Gift also features some of Africa’s biggest artists, including Nigeria’s Wizkid, Tiwa Savage and Burna Boy, Ghana’s Dancehall act, Shatta Wale and a host of others.
Billboard.com, an American entertainment media brand owned by the Billboard-Hollywood Reporter Media Group, a division of Eldridge Industries has started a poll to determine the best song on the Album.
