Asamoah Gyan has swerved Asante Kotoko and is reportedly close to joining Ghana Premier League side, Legon Cities FC.

The Ghana legend is expected to sign contract in the coming days, having already agreed a deal with Legon-based club.

Gyan was on the wish-list of Kotoko and the club hoped to get him for free. But Gyan was not interested in joining them for free despite declaring that he would love to play for the Porcupine Warriors before he retires.

Legon Cities have met the demands of Gyan, who is happy to sign for them and he is ready to make a return to the Ghanaian top-flight since he left Liberty Professionals in 2003.

Gyan is Black Stars all-top scorer with 51 goals.
