Today, the young rapper has been announced as the Latest Africa Rising Artist by the music platform, Apple music. This announcement was made on the music body’s Twitter page.

The platform wrote; @AppleMusic today announces the latest featured artist in its Africa Rising artist development program as 17-year-old Ghanaian rapper @YAWTOG_

(real name Thorsten Owusu Gyimah).

Expressing his appreciation, Yaw Tog also took to social media to his fans and all music lovers who have supported him since the beginning of his journey.

He also pledged to continue to work harder to make the country proud and break boundaries with his crafts.

He said; I’m excited & honoured to be the next Africa Rising artist. I genuinely appreciate the support and love that my fans, music lovers all around the world, and the Apple Music team have shown me so far. I don’t take this for granted, and I’ll continue to work to put my country Ghana on the map.

As a reminder, Yaw Tog has served as a threat to the Kings in the rap game. His emergence into the music scene hasn’t been that long but he has proven himself a wealthy opponent to the titans in the rap game.

In the upcoming Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, Yaw Tog has managed to grab some nominations for himself with his craft and hopefully might win in some of the categories.
