Singer, King Promise, has noted with much pleasure that the President of Ghana, Nana Akufo now goes by the moniker, King Promise.

The President earned the nickname owing to his penchant for making promises although he’s to fulfill most of them.

The Ghanaian musician opined that it’s a good feeling to know the first gentleman of the land bears his name.

He said:

“I laugh about it all the time, it’s a plus when people are calling the president with your name, it is cool, I will accept it like that, I don’t have any problem about it, absolutely nothing.”

The Oh Yeah crooner who was speaking in an interview with Class FM used the platform to urge the government to investment into the creative arts industry so players can benefit.

“We need a lot of support in the art industry, we need more money, more funding. Build centres like workshops where people can learn how to write music or play any kind of instrument. He should also invest into the art industry to train Ghanaian artistes in order to compete with the high-level with other people.”
