Ghanaian Film Producer Kobi Rana just suffered a shock of his life in the Ghana Movie Industry just few weeks ago after The Ghana Tourism Authority placed injunction on the premiering of his movie “Freedom and Justice”

Kobi Rana’s movie “Freedom and Justice” was a  political movie directed by Kobi Rana was scheduled to premier within this Christmas period at several auditoriums across the country. However, Kobi Rana and Kafui Danku who featured in the movie as well, have taken to social media to announce that the movie has been banned from showing.

“After a groundbreaking trailer and 2,154 tickets sold in advance, we regret to announce the ban on the most demanded movie: FREEDOM AND JUSTICE,” the statement stated adding that armed policemen stormed the booked venues for the premiering and locked the places up.

This was a heartbreaking news for fans of Kobi Rana movies.

However, the Kobi Rana has swiftly bounced back to the cinemas with another movie.

He announced on his social media handles that, he will be premiering his next movie titled “Hello” with the theme “Love and Lockdown.”

He disclosed that the movie will be premiered on Valentine’s day on 16th February, 2021.

This movie will be his 6th edition of premiering movie on Valentine day. He has consistently for six consecutive years, been releasing movies on Valentine Day and this year is no different.

Taking to his Instagram page, he wrote “This Valentine’s day.
Sunday 14th February. 6th edition. 6 years of exciting valsday movie night nationwide tradition. Now available for worldwide audience. #valsdaymovie #hellomovie #loveandlockdown.

The Ghana Movie Industry has over the years suffers great dwindling and the industry don’t look like it is ready to revive soon.

This has led one of the most successful African Movie Industry, the Nigerian Movie Industry taken space on the screens of Ghanaian movie consumers.

Sadly, TV stations have also turned to showing more Bollywood movies and series and neglected the few Ghanaian good movies.

We’re still hoping the Ghana Movie Industry players put their toes on the ground and make the industry a booming one again.
