Nigerian actress Charity Nnaji has said that most Nigerian actors are who look rich in movies are poor in real life.

Social media has become a place where people showcase their ‘suppose’ life through photos and videos they share. Some have portrayed a particular lifestyle to their fans and followers on their various social media pages. However, behind the luxurious lifestyles and extravagant lifestyles of most celebrities, lies a different picture of their life.

Actress Nnaji Charity has taken to her Instagram story to slam movie directors and producers for making some of the Nollywood acts look rich but in real life, they cannot afford a square meal daily in their various homes. She stated that most movie producers are the ones who are making people think Nollywood legends are rich.

“It is indeed witchraft for movie directors and producers to make an artist appear rich in movies while most of them cannot afford one square meal a day in their home…NOTE: Most Nollywood legends are very poor in real life” she wrote.

She added that many people have the misconception about Nollywood acts because of how movie producers and directors have made them appear in the eyes of the public. She blamed movie producers for the misconception. She also urged movie producers to pay their artists very well.

“No excuse….pay your artist very well so they can meet up just like you…monkey no go dey work make bamboo dey chop” she added.
