It appears most people who have been hiding their status due to societal condemnation have gathered the courage to come out to disclose that they are gays.
A Nigerian man identified on Facebook as Jide Rebirth Macauley has disclosed on his page that he is a gay pastor who is based in the United Kingdom and also living with HIV.

According to Rebirth, he has been gay and had always wanted to part take in the world LGBT day which is in February. “February 2021, LGBT History month and HIV testing week. I couldn’t be more proud to represent both communities. I am proud to be gay and I am living well with HIV…….” he wrote.
