In what will gladden the hearts of many Nigerians, Nigerian Army 21st and 26th Brigade troops supported by the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) have neutralized 81 terrorists in five villages in the Sambisa forest.

The Guardian reports that this was confirmed by Madu Bukar, a civilian leader of the JTF who helps the military fight terrorists.

“We destroyed terrorist camps and recovered their truckloads of weapons and other weapons, while fleeing the cleared villages”, he said.

Going further, he revealed that one soldier lost his life in the battle while four were wounded by explosives.

Troops from the 28 Brigade of the Task Force in the local government of Chibok inflicted heavy casualties against 31 insurgents on Wednesday, February 10, in the town of Askira Uba in Borno state.

Nine armed trucks of the eleven used by the insurgents were also destroyed by the troops.
