Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama says people of Akyem should not consider banning him from entering Akyem land because of the “Akyem Sakawa” comment she shared on Facebook.

According to Mr. John Mahama, he sees no wrong in sharing the post of Isaac Adongo. He says he read a very interesting post and thought it will be of interest to share, so he shared.

Nonetheless, a pressure group has surface and demonstrated against former President John Dramani Mahama to haven’t for supporting such tribal comment.

Former President Joh Mahama said “Nobody bans anyone from going anywhere…we shouldn’t go there because if other people say they are banning other people what kind of country are we going to have. I have not said anything…I have not abused Akyem people. Like I said there are many Akyem people in my party why would I say anything insulting to them.?”

Again, Flagbearer John Mahama affirmed that, he didn’t consider Isaac Adongo’s statement as tribalistic and that accounted his sharing on Facebook.

He added “It didn’t come to me as anything that I thought about, I saw his post I just reposted it. For me, it was the arguments he made there that were very cogent that’s why I reposted it”
