Fante rapper Pappy Kojo has not hidden his admiration for Obrafuor ever since he came into the limelight.
Pappy always eulogizes the legendary rapper the least chance he gets, saying among other things Obrafuor is his men tor.
Unfortunately Obrafuor seems not to reciprocate Pappy’s gesture and has avoided him on numerous occasions, according to the Ay3 Late hitmaker.
Speaking to Doreen Andoh, Pappy Kojo threw more light on the issue. He even recounted when he was supposed to perform with Obrafour at the 2016 edition of the Ghana Music Awards but he failed to show up that night.
He said:
“I am a little bit upset with Obrafour [but] I have kept quiet for so long but I have to say it.
Obrafour has been ignoring me for a while, he doesn’t pick my calls, he doesn’t reply my text messages, [and] I don’t understand why Obrafour is doing that.
I want to understand what is going on, because you are like [an idol] to me, you are the reason why I am doing what I am doing.
Last year I performed at Ghana Music Awards and I wanted to surprise the people with Obrafour so we spoke about it, he agreed and he didn’t show up. I called him and he didn’t pick, I really don’t understand what is going on.
You can’t just influence me and then when I fall in love with you, you just leave me alone, it doesn’t work.”
